Dementia Care
At Elliott House Care Home, residents are supported to live an active and fulfilled life. Within our community of care, our aim is to create a secure, relaxed, happy and homely atmosphere.
The foundations of our care are built with Thomas Kitwood’s original theory of person centeredness, which draws on the idea that feelings matter most. This ensures our residents’ dignity, independence and happiness is always at the forefront of our care.
Our ‘person centered care’ approach involves helping staff to shift their focus from only doing ‘tasks’ to being able to reach people within and really seeing, hearing, and feeling the lived experience of each resident within our community of care. This also involves measuring the minute by minute experiences of people and being determined to improve the moment.
Our team is passionate about providing outstanding care for all people who live at Elliott house and creating a warm atmosphere in which the team can give their best.
We believe Elliott House provides a home from home to enable people to feel comfortable and safe within their surroundings.
