Our care home Elliott House Care Home, situated in Birmingham, is a trusted provider of care for elderly people with dementia care needs.

Our residents are cared for by our dedicated staff who provide tailor made care designed to meet our individual resident’s needs, whilst allowing you to maintain independence, dignity and freedom of choice.

Myself and my team of dedicated and hard-working staff are here to listen, assist and support you in settling into your new home. As part of our high-quality care, we pride ourselves on the quality of our catering, with our chef preparing meals daily from fresh, seasonal ingredients.

Our home is located near to Kings Norton Village Green, within walking distance of the high street which has a post office, banks, local shops and café. There are also several places of worship nearby, serving all faiths.

Elliott House philosophy is to create a secure, relaxed, happy and homely atmosphere for people to live in and for the staff to work in. We specialise in providing quality residential dementia care for the elderly. The foundations are built with Thomas Kitwood’s original theory of person centredness. The model also draws on the idea that feelings matter most, working with a program of leadership that emphasizes the need to embed dementia care training in the development of our whole team’s emotional connection and emotional intelligence. The Feelings Matter Most model centres on the person.

At the home we believe that by catering to your personalised care requirements, we hope to provide you with a safe and warm environment that you can call home. When we were informed our father was in a care home, we were filled with anxiety and fear that he would not be looked after properly.

Having visited him several occasions, it is evident my fears were unfounded. All of the staff are welcoming and friendly and engage in a warm and courteous manner. The premises are lovely, modern and clean. You couldn't wish for a more comfortable place for your elderly relatives to spend their latter years.

It is very heart-warming and gives peace of mind knowing my father is being so well cared for.

Our mother’s 90th birthday party was an evening to remember for years to come. My mother had a fantastic time and keeps telling us what a lovely time she had. The party itself was brilliantly organised which included party decorations and a lovely display of food and cakes.

When we all arrived on the day my mother had been dressed and made up with her hair done, she looked beautiful and everyone commented how wonderful she looked.

The culture within the staff team is one that we endeavour to promote the individual’s independence through enablement and empowerment. The staff team will support in a manner that will enable the resident to maintain their existing skills, and where they choose to do so, support them in developing new skills through a variety of activities.
